The Security Guard ensures compliance with company standards and tribal gaming regulations by monitoring all departments, and reports incidents to the appropriate departmental supervisors and directors. He/she must be knowledgeable of all casino operations and internal controls. He/she escorts all had-pays and jackpot payouts and observes and escorts table games and slot drops, and cage access. The Security Guard performs Access Guard duties when required. He/she assists in operational procedures for activities such as traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, and conducting investigation(s). He/she performs internal and external perimeter checks, completes and maintains log books, and must be able to work rotating days off. The Security Guard performs other duties as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor or Director.
Observes patrons and employees participating in gambling activities to detect infractions of house rules. Ensures that Grand River Casino & Resort's premises are secure while giving prompt service.
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Key license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have a valid driver's license.
High school graduate or GED.
Experience: Three months experience in the security field or the casino environment preferred. Must be able to administer professional communication skills with internal and external guests and ensure confidentiality.
Must be physically able to withstand continued walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting for periods of 8 hours or more and lift up to 50 pounds.
