Accounting Clerk

Main emphasis will be to provide direct assistance to the Senior/Lead Accountant for financial statement preparations and various finance functions.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for reconciling processed work by reviewing entries and comparing system reports to balances. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Performs bank reconciliations. Protects the organizations value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Serves as a back-up for Internal Revenue Clerk for emergencies and vacations. Performs other duties as assigned by the Comptroller.

Must be 21 years of age or older.  Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Key license. 

"Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements - Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance."

Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  An Associates Degree in accounting or related field preferred.  

Six months experience in the accounting field or related position preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills.  Must have knowledge of spread sheets, Excel® preferred.  One year experience working with computers or formal training on computers preferred.

Must have 20/20 corrected vision.

Age Requirement

Guests 18 years of age and older are welcome. Persons under the age of 18 will not be permitted on the property. This includes the Lodge and Bay Store. Guests under 18 are welcome at the cabins and campground. Guests must be 21 years of age to gamble. Thank you for your understanding.
