Assists the Human Resources Director in all aspects of the Human Resources Department in a confidential manner, including but not limited to, file maintenance, training, and orientation.
The Benefits Coordinator/HR Assistants main focus will be organizing and administering all benefits available to GRC employees. Maintaining all necessary paperwork and correspondence required to ensure that the benefits are being taken care of for the employees. He/she organizes and administers the orientation program to new employees. The Benefits Coordinator/HR Assistant will assist in preparing and processing all documentation for all employees, past, present, and future. He/she will assist in responding to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs in the absence of the HR Director and will perform any other duries assisgned by the Human Resources Director. He/she will also assist the HR Clerk with various duties including any and all reports as needed on a day to day basis. All GRC employees shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements - Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must qualify for a SRST Non-Gaming License. Must have 20/20 corrected vision. Must have proficient computer knowledge and be able to type at least 40 wpm.
High School Diploma or GED
Six months secretarial experience preferred. 1 year experience with company benefits preferred. Experience in public speaking and/or training preferred.
Must be physically able to withstand continued sitting for up to 8 hours. Requires repetitive hand/finger motions. Bending, reaching, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and visual acuity in or corrected to the normal range. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
Qualify for the requirements of the position for which they are applying.
Qualify for the appropriate gaming license if required.
