POSITION TITLE: Security Guard
REPORTS TO: Security Shift Supervisor
Observes patrons and employees participating in gambling activities to detect infractions of house rules. Ensures that Grand River Casino & Resort’s premises are secure while giving prompt service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Security Guard ensures compliance with company standards and tribal gaming regulations by monitoring all departments, and reports incidents to the appropriate departmental supervisors and directors. He/she must be knowledgeable of all casino operations and internal controls. He/she will escort all hand-pays and jackpot payouts and observes and escorts table games and slot drops, and cage access. The Security Guard will perform Access Guard duties when required. He/she will assist in operational procedures for activities such as traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, and conducting investigations. He/she performs internal and external perimeter checks per shift, completes and maintains log books, and must be able to work rotating shifts on a weekly basis. The Security Guard performs other duties as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor and/or Director. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Key license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have CPR, A.E.D and First Aid training or the ability to achieve such certificates.
High school graduate or GED.
Three months experience in the security field or the casino environment preferred. Must be able to administer professional communication skills with internal and external guests and ensure confidentiality.
Must be physically able to withstand continued walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting for periods of 8 hours or more and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
